nice view. rent a car and go to yourselt, great roads and take a stops where you want. there is restourants and nice palces to look around.

A beautiful view over Alanya.Theres plenty of taxidrivers who takes you up to the castle. I would highly recommed.

QViews were amazing but a lot of walking if mobility impaired the drive up was very scary best not to look out of the window. But we'll worth going for views alone .The journey down was just as scary!!

The inside of the castle is quite interesting. However I would recommand walking around the castle, up to the mosq. if you decide to go and visit the castle, stop for a meal by the old lady at the entrance. the "restaurant" doesn't look like much but you can enjoy a nice view over alanya, drinking tea in the shadow... We joined fellow cruisers and booked a one hour quick taxi visit to the Castle. I say castle but the taxi driver showed us a picture of the ruins and advised us that it was not worth a visit. We did get to see a mosque up the top and also a typical Turkish house, and the views were amazing.

Whether you want to walk up the mountain to see Alanya Castle is your decision. I took the public bus which leaves just opposite the tourist office every quarter past. It was only 2 Lira.
