This is one of the seven wonders of the world and true to the description. The sights seen when reaching the crater at the top are breathtaking. The cliffs are amazing, jutting out of the ocean in straight black pillons of volcanic rock. More

Beautiful site next to East Sea. Crowded but enjoy the climb with the others. More

It was drizzling when we attempted the climb, so we didn't quite get the best view. But worth the climb, especially if you can catch the sunrise. Should be an easy climb for (generally fit) young adults. My 65 year old parents managed to reach the top too after a few rests. Remember to check out the black beach and... More

Pro's: Beautiful Area, short hike to the crater rim with really nice views of the island and coast! Also, take advantage of the path that goes along the coast and down to the black sand/rock beach. Con's: Very crowded on nice days More

Known as the Seongsan Sunrise Peak, a UNESCO Heritage Site, this place is a must-go for tourists visiting Jeju Island. If you are the deep sleeper tourist and cannot manage to catch the sunrise, still head down for a paranoiac view of the ocean. This place reminds me a little of Melbourne's Great Ocean Road but it's nowhere as magnificent... More

The name of this place means Sunrise Peak, which is the ideal place to view sunrise. It was declared by UNESCO as one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Unfortunately we visited the place at 10pm and no sunrise, of course. The view is still breathtaking though. You can hike up from the bottom of the hill up... More

This is probably one of the most picturesque spots on jeju island. We went there in the late afternoon-evening and caught a very poetic sunset. The final steps up to the very top are not in very good repair. Not worth going up to the very top if there are a lot of tourists. Great for photographers every step of... More

If you visit Jeju do this is an easy bus trip from town there are lots of buses running round the island, and you can go directly to this attraction on foot once you get almost there, then enter the park and go upstairs until you meet the crater of the vulcano, it has lovely views from there. Easy and... More
