The whole layout is strange, inconvenient and dated. Embarrassing for Albany to host events/shows for out of town guests.

We've had occasion to attend numerous events at the EPSCC in downtown Albany and also have attended events in several other cities. The concourse seems to be lacking compared to what is offered in numerous other areas and parking can be a challenge if your event is during business hours.

Given that this is the Capital of NYS- one would expect the Convention Center to be a little bit better. At the very least the walk ways to the TimesUnion Center should be covered given the weather in Upstate NY- Albany needs to take some tips from Boston- and make the enitre plaza more pedestrian friendly- with covered bridges and... Get's the job done, but could use more lighting and updates.

Have been to many mtgs and to tour the museum over the years. Always a wonderful time. Walk the long halls and take in the art!

Albany keeps talking about building a real convention center, but it hasn't happened. So some of the small and larger meeting rooms under the Egg serve as convention space. the ode to Governor Rockefeller is really quite pleasant to walk around. intimate while expansive take the underground walk from the capital building to the state museum. At one time, this was all open 24/7 .. until someone tried to set one of the pieces of art on fire.
