Beautiful beach. Clean water surronded by mountains and grenery. The only problem is it is not good for swimming at low tide, so enjoy when high tide.
I first arrived to Lombok something 6 years ago and I just keep going back. To me nowhere else Ive been is even close to this magic place
We decide to learn surf destination Kuta , very large beach with surf every where !
The local are nice and very helpful overall for a touristic place !
The beach is clean and no charge for anything if you bring your own stuff. Plenty of food around if needed .

The water was beautiful. We had pizza's at one of the cafe's there and they were great. Just be wary of the young ones trying to sell you bracelets and the like - if you buy one they will not leave you alone and it was annoying as we could not enjoy our lunch. Buy them once you are finished!
Very sad to see the children selling souvenir and not let the tourist to enjoy the beach, Government where are you guys.... who will protect the children and the tourist..
Worth a day trip. pack a lunch and go. gorgeous beach, sellers are annoying but if you avoid them they go away.

We stayed for 3 nights and thought of extending for more nights which didn't make it. Locals are nice, sellers can be quite annoying but we were fine with it, local...

We stayed in Kuta, Lombok 2 nights. It was quiet and scenic, but quite a poor area and there is some rubbish and lots of dogs on the beaches. The people are friendly but a bunch of locals have moved in along the beach so it's quite haphazard looking.
I fully recommend visiting Gerumpuk down the road (30 mins by...
