What you get in Wayan’s place is totally depends on your own expectations. Don’t expect the same approach you would experience in luxury SPA-salons. By the end of the day Wayan Nuriasih is not a pedicure-girl, who draws frangipani flowers on your toes. Someone said in previous reviews that this is an experience for adventurous types and I 100% agree.... More

For those of you who got robbed, you got off lightly compared to what Wayan Nuriasih took from my family, in fact she destroyed my family as it was.. briefly the payment she demanded from my ex was to have an affair with her, and stupidly that is not all he did.. this was well before her fame from the... If you're expecting a spa or a doctors surgery, then don't. You are stepping into something very traditional and specific to Balinese culture. Don't expect a neat time slot or to be in and out in an hour. Wayan is a very talented healer with amazing energy. She has been busy healing and helping others long before Eat, Pray, Love.... More

As I entered the shop there was no welcome from Wayan, you were pretty much directed straight to the menu list. I went with 2 other people and we all chose the 'Body Reading' package which is one of the more basic cheaper packages. We had to wait quite a while because people who had come after us were seen... Wayan's treatments now cost $85 US, perhaps not needed if there is nothing wrong with you. Be aware that some people react badly with nausea and the runs, as several people in our group did. It isn't for everyone. I had a money belt with over $100 in Rupiah in it go missing while I was there. It had to... More

I went to Wayan's place right after a visit to this other luxurious Spa without knowing what to expect. I was curious about Wayan and wanted to meet her. My whole experience at the Balinese Traditional Healing Center was truly unique and intriguing. Yes, the treatment was at least 4 hours long where multiple people worked on me. There may... More

I was curious to meet Ms. Wayan after reading Eat Pray Love and got suckered into the full body reading/treatment plus Vitamin lunch. The vitamin lunch was delicious, but everything else was horrible. They rubbed us down with spices and massaged us with oils. Afterwards, I broke out in rashes on my face and body, and the place was dirty.... More

My wife and I paid $50 US each for a five hour treatment (body reading, traditional Balinese Medicine (Jamu), two hour massage by two people with herbs, etc..., and a great Vitamin Lunch. Yes, $50US is high by Balinese standards, but think of what you get. I am sure that Wayan gets caught up in reading bodies and says similar... More

Wayan Nuriasih has run this establishment at 5 Jl. Jembawan, Ubud, for many years. I had a wonderful two hour massage and lunch there when I was in Bali 15 months ago. Expecting something similar, I had a one hour massage and herb and spice rub two weeks ago, and it was very pleasant. The spices were freshly ground in... More
