Disappointed by the variety and quality.Chiang Mai market was outstanding in comparison.goods are overpriced.if you really are short of time and want to shop,go for the paintings or buy a Ramayana chess set on the first floor

So many arrogant and really very nasty sellers, far too many with bad attitudes especially if you don't buy from them. Granted there's bargaining of course, but the ridiculous prices that they start with is just a turnoff to begin with. If an item lets say would be $10 they start at $50 or $60. The worst thing though about...

The market made me a little claustrophobic because some of the goods on sale were arranged haphazardly, and its a lot of repeats from stall to stall. Its advisable to do a quick look around first and compare prices before starting bargaining as they can get quite cross if you decide not to buy (I dont blame them of course)...

Cheap wooden and metal trinkets
Can get much nicer and better stuff from some of the smaller shops

If you like your Bali art work at a far price and good quality this market is a must see.

The Ubud market is a multilevel complex with hundreds of little shops selling all types of trinkets. Nothing has a fixed price so be prepared to haggle. Our favorite was the local paintings.
Restaurants are nearby if you need to rest and cool down after a couple hours of shopping.

Average flea market selling local art works. Only d for those who like local arts and stuff. Pretty boring in my opinion.

Stumbled accross this market during our stay in Ubud. Found the sellers here to be quite aggressive & no guarding a price for goods was not as enjoyable & lighthearted as in other markets throughout Bali.
The goods for sale here are also not as good quality as other markets & shops so look carefully for the better quality items.

Busy market with lots of handicrafts and arts. Lots of the same things found in the shops along the main drags of Ubud. If you are wishing to buy something be prepared to bargain as the prices are not always that cheap.
