Impressive to see the Residency and imagine how it was both before and during the Siege. However, the Museum is very sad with missing signs and need for upgrading. Could learn from Gandhi's Ashram in Ahmedabad.

Historically interesting place, start of the defeat of the British Empire around 150 years ago. Anybody interested in the facts about the relationship between India and UK should visit the place

Cannon and bullet damage can be seen on the buildings, most of which are in ruins. Signs outside each ruin in Hindi and English explain their significance. Went to the museum to...

the residency doesn't have poignancy even of a Commonwealth war graves site. the museum was small and pretty disappointing, and the basement -- where the women and children sheltered during the harrowing siege -- was closed because 'there is no electricity' according to one guard I asked.
i use to visit here when i need full peace of mind..its in the middle of the city where you will witness 1857 nawabi era and french architecture.it have cemetry, church and palace...situated near imam-bara
The British Residency was one of the most poetic, sad and beautiful places we visited in India. There is a...
