Mehtab Bagh is the best place to see the Taj Mahal at the time of sunset. This is quite place. One can sit there and enjoy the changing colours of the Taj Mahal as the sun goes down. The garden is very beautiful.

Definitely a must see when in Agra. Go at sunset - its beautiful and amazing and you get some great photos from a different angle. If you can't afford to go to the Taj Mahal then its also a much cheaper option.
I allways recommend this place to visit at the time of sunset or before that. It is very different view of Taj from this side of the river and moreover here nobody to disturb you or distract you. You can quitely sit here in one corner or on the grass or on the wall. It is sad that river most...

Mehtab Bagh- "The Moon Light Garden" was originally laid by Mughal king Babur. This is more known as the foundation of Black Tajmahal, which according to Historians is a Myth.
It's very sad to see the place of this kind being ignored up to this extend.
Tourist mostly prefer to see Tajmahal early Morning. Viewing Tajmahal in dusk from Mehtab...

We wouldn't have missed seeing the sunset from the banks of the river opposite the Taj Mahal but as the sun doesn't really set over or behind the Taj Mahal, having to pay to stand on a river bank is really milking the Taj Mahal itself for all it is worth. The site of the changing colours of the Taj...

Babur's garden across the Yamuna is in a terribly neglected shape. But fortunately, it offers the best view of the Taj Mahal with the Yamuna river flowing in the foreground. It's away from the crowds and clutter and the painfully long queus at the main venue. The black plinth of the supposed site of Shah Jahan's own tomb can also...

Not much people go there, But this bagh or garden gives very very good view of taj mahal. Early or late in evening are very very good for clicking great pics. Park is very big. Not much to do other than enjoying a beautiful TAJ MAHAL. :)
This is a small park with a nominal charge which is situated opposite the Taj Mahal on the other side of the Yamuna River. I would recommend taking a rickshaw to visit. There is not much to the park itself but it does offer an alternative view of the Taj Mahal.
Really nice surprise at how beautiful this place is, definitely worth visiting for an hour or so. Look out for the hop on hop off bus to visit lots of great spots of interests, cost and time effectively.
Stand here on the banks of the Yamuna River as the sun sets on the Taj Mahal opposite. It's just the best view!
