Visited the temple during the first week of Jan 2024.
It was a weekday so didn't had long queues or waiting time.
I reached the ropeway ticket counter at around 10.30. Instantly got tickets from the counter and got it numbered or sequenced from the very next counter.
Then proceed towards the lower floor to reach the ropeway. Luckily there were hardly 4-5 people in the queue and instantly got the entry into the cable car.
It's just 5 mins ride to the temple.
Spent some time at the temple, clicked photos and that's it.
While way back again you have to get your ticket numbered and wait in the hall for your number to appear on the screen.
Overall it was a mesmerizing experience.
And didn't face any mismanagement or waiting probably because it was a weekday.

There are many ways to come up to the Mansapurna Karni Mata temple. Like you can climb via stairs , walk around the path, but the easiest way to reach the temple is by Ropeway. Karni Mata Ropeway was built by businessman Kailash Khandelwal in association with UTI in 2008 and it is the first Ropeway in Rajasthan.
This ropeway is 387 meters long and it is connected to two places. After getting down from the cable car, the temple of karni Mata is a short distance away, which you can walk to.
To reach Karni Mata , you will get a ropeway at a short distance from Deendayal park, which is 4-5 minutes away. The temple is at a distance of 5 minutes from the ropeway. You will get a very good view of Udaipur city from here like stunning view of local Udaipur tourist attractions like Lake Pichola, City Palace, Sajjangarh Fort, Fatehsagar Lake and Aravali Mountains.
I am rating it 3 because i didn't really like their Management as it took us 1 hour after taking the ticket and getting into the Ropeway (while going and while coming back both times).
They really should find a way to manage this effectively.

If they say 20 minutes waiting , it means more than an hour of waiting. Beware and go if you have time. The waiting is expected but they lie and set false expectation

We took this cable car on the first day in India. We were assigned a time to take the cable car and foreigners are charged a greater sum to visit than the locals. This is quite common in India. We were told that the Indian government wants all wage earners to be able to afford different tourist sites, hence the lower price than for foreigners.
We timed our ascent to coincide with sunset. It was beautiful and practical.

Poorly managed. Looks like a money making racket. Waste of time. Skip this if you do not want to waste your precious time of your holidays at Udaipur.

Long queue to visit. Once you go to the next side then the same story again. Horrible.
Stay away from this place. Not a nice place to visit. It's just a place to put some shops. Nothing much if you are not visitithe temple and only using the ropeway.

This was a good experience though very short (maybe 5-7 min overall)..avoid going on public holidays / navratras if you are strapped on time as the waiting period is close to 1 hour on these days at times...The view is very good..there are no seat belts within the ropeway cabin so please take care of the kids..The temple needs another ~300 mt walk from the ropeway...on the way back you have to necessarily pass through a restaurant...Charges are affordable...dont pay anything extra to anyone...tickets are two way..VR gaming is also acvaialble on the way back (int he restaurant) along with some massage options...View from the temple is very good...Overall good experience ...

The time on the actual ropeway is just a couple of minutes and while the view is nice, it's not really worth the time spent waiting for a gondola to come along. Unless you are interested in visiting or praying at the temple, this could be skipped if you're short on time.

We went in the evening. As far as I remember, they allow entry till 7 PM ( ticket issue for ropeway). After sunset , the lights from various monuments/hotels are very beautiful from the top. Of course , visiting in daytime has it's own advantage..
