- Andrea G12 contributionsGreat experienceThis was one of the best experiences of our journey! I am impressed by the social work they do and the holistic approach they have. I love their handiwork and am impressed by their craftsmanship. I bought a few clothes and a beautiful bag there - knowing that in addition to getting some beautiful clothes I also contribute to something good.Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 April 2023
- Clare TAdelaide, Australia14 contributionsExcellent craft shopI recently spent a wonderful afternoon in the company of the women at Dhonk. We spent time with them as they were sewing, quilting, and block printing fabric. Dhonk is an excellent example of a female lead social enterprise. We had a delicious afternoon tea at the cafe. But the best thing about Dhonk was the shop. Lovely clothes, beautiful homewares and exquisite, scarves and fabric. An absolute must visit.Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 14 November 2023
- slugChicago, Illinois118 contributionsDhonk CraftWhile on a G Adventures tour, we asked our guide to arrange for a visit to one of the local fair trade cooperatives. Since we had limited time during the our time in the area, he arranged for the store to be opened in the evening. We made our way down an extremely dark, dirt road filled with potholes. We weren’t sure if our minibus would make it. The social enterprise was created to provide opportunities to the various tribes that were relocated from Ranthambore National Park when it was formed. One of their income sources was the poaching of tigers. Dhonk Craft provides education, training, micro loans and a spot to sell their crafts. Upon arrival we were met by the founder, a couple of staff members, her son and a very friendly Labrador (in a fenced in yard). The founder apologized that we were not able to view any of the women at work since it was after closing time, but she provided a tour of the facility. The shop itself was full of a variety of merchandise created by the members of the enterprise in a variety of price points. It is well worth a visit. I only wish that I had had more time to browse. And I hate shopping.Visited November 2023Travelled soloWritten 8 December 2023

I loved visiting here! The women were so friendly and proud to show off their skills. I bought several tops and bags. I just adore them.

Apart from the wonderful collection of sustainable fashion and accessories we had lunch in their cafe. The food was good and freshly made by lovely jamila bano who was extremely cordial and welcoming. You must visit this place if you are in Ranthambore

Laid-back service, The food is totally home-cooked style, so don't expect the real deal and taste, expect some homely modifications to the dishes. They are definitely overpriced for the quality and portion size of each dish. Not recommended as a place to have a heavy meal. You can go here if you want to grab a coffee and sit in peace.

It looked nice when we passed the cafe on way to Safari. But very bad experience when we went there. Be ready for long wait for the order to be served. Pathetic service, overpriced food. Can't believe that 'Cafe' outlet was not able to serve tea. You have to request for spoon, salt n pepper, even water. ' All Glitter is not Gold'.

Very quaint place but they need to serve really hot coffee. Super potential. Very well located next to the Oberoi Hotel and would love to visit whenever next in Rathambore.

Nice ambience for a cafe. Coffee was decent and they had local handicrafts made by village people to sell to support local community. Cafe had a reading room too

The Dhonk cafe has absolutely terrible food, extremely slow service and is overpriced. The only thing good about this place is ambience.
