The embroideries in this region of Rajasthan are impressive. Traditional wedding dresses, opium bags, and dowery bags come from desert villages and are sewn together as patch work wall hangings, bed covers and many other things by local people. The owner, Shankar Khatri, has a Diploma in Culture and Tourism and a passion for arts, so he also creates custom, one-of-a-kind designs. « less

They are... More

We loved shopping here, we enjoyed all the bed spreads being layed before us and where given lots of time to choose without pressure. The owner is friendly and great for a yarn. I recommend taking the time to pull things out to look, as there are treasures to be found. Enjoy.

If you are just visiting Jaisalmer, then for sure it is a good address to buy textile. But if you have the occasion to stay longer, actually you will find much more choice in Delhi.
