If you want to take in all the temples of Khajuraho then as the oldest this is a must. Small & a haven of calm
This Museum is right next to the Jain Khajuraho temple and has a well organized large collection of Jain Sculpture in a well-designed round polygon museum building...
The temple is much plainer than the monuments but nevertheless amazing. There is something incredibly peaceful and calming about the Jains.
Well organised museum with lots of antiquities only to be found in India
Not well maintained . No staff to or directions to encourage one to visit.
These temples were interesting but not as good as the main group. Well within walking distance from town and there are some interesting art shops on the way. I picked up some fantastic local metal sculpture from one of the galleries on the way back. That alone was worth the journey.
Admission is 5 rupees for everyone and it's a small little museum, just one roundish room. But it's well-maintained, well-signed, and often there's someone there who will show you around. The museum is located right outside of the main group of Jain temples and is worth 15 minutes of your time to see their collection of stone sculptures.
