If you are already on the Western end, do not miss the temples of Varaha and Laksamana both dedicated to Vishnu. The monkeys are all ver the roof of these temples. What a sight.

This is the second largest temple in the western group of Khajuraho temples. It has a series of superb carvings on it's walls, each more beautiful than the other. A sense of timelessness envelops you as look at smiling maidens and naughty lovers caught in stone a 1000 years ago. The detailing of their garments, pose and expressions is breathtaking....
