I love lighthouses, and ones you can climb are the best. Te view from the top is great, so if you are in the vicinity definitely worth a visit, but maybe early lunchtime or near sunset so it's not too hot?

A wonderful view from the top of the lighthouse. It is open from 15-17 (closes at 18) everyday. A must visit place, look at the natural beauty of thi splace from the other side, blue sea, with coconut trees.You can psend hours sitting that place.

Beautiful stretch of vizhinjam beach .... Silent unlike kovalam and shankhumukham beachsides... Love the solitude it provides... A definite place to visit with friends...

It's nothing for people who are afraid of hights (or for children/elders) but if you're not you should climb up the stairs to see the view over Kovalam.

The place has an entry fee of Rs. 10/person and camera fee of Rs. 20. Once you are at the top, you can see the beaches around you. The view from the top is excellent and should not be missed if you have come to Kovalam. The climb is a little tricky and old people should avoid it.

There is not much to see there, but one should go there atleast once. Good scenic view of the greenery and the ocean. The sunset seen from here is breath taking
