This year monsoon has been late due to which even our visit was not that worth it as the falls were not to there highest of level.
If you are visiting this fall and want to witness the fall from a view point that you need to pay a small price which we didn't pay.
As you reach the main view point from where a personnel charges you to enter the viewpoint just stay there and enjoy the falls from a distant viewpoint which is free of cost and worth it rather than paying and seeing from a viewpoint.

Went to visit this famous waterfall in June end. It is India's second highest watrerfall so the expectation was high. Unfortunately only very thin waterfall was there. No proper stairs there to go close to the waterfall. Go only in pick rainy season.

It will take 3 hrs to reach from Bangalore. We started from Electronic City, Bangalore at around 7.15 am and took the Bangalore-Mysuru expressway and we reached around 10 am. We did not take any break in-between.

Better to carry water with you. Be careful if you are going with young kids.

There was a washroom (Paid service) near to the fall which was somewhat clean.

The second tallest falls in India.

Best viewed during July to November . You could go half way down and feel the mist of water from the splash of the waterfalls.
Cleanliness , litter is one issue. This is left to the public to keep it clean though.

A must visit during the season.

It's amazing sight of you are going during monsoon. There is a parking withing 50 meters, so dont worry about walking. But the crowd is high during long weekends.

Drivable distance from Bengaluru for an intra-day trip. Leisure drive of 3.5 hrs one way. One can spend 2-3 hrs at the spot and then drive back at leisure. While on the way stop at Kamat Lokaruchi – Ramanagara for a delicious breakfast.
Falls themselves are very beautiful duting the season. Worth the visit.
Small parking amount to pay. Enough parking spots. Some local vendors available for tea/coffee stall, biscuits, coconut water, snacks etc. Can carry own lunch as well and find some spot to eat. Beware of Monkeys. They do look for food.
Just be mindful of the surroundings – we should carry our waste back with us. That’s the best we can take care of the place, so it remains as blissful for us for another day.
