I should say in one word "Grand" and I will give it a first-rate, its very good, splendid view when watching such majestic house boats where beautiful carving is done all over, rich is interiors & exteriors as well. Its a dignified sketch of riding in a fairy land. More

From outside the houseboats looks ordinary but once inside it is a completely different picture. The interiors are completely wooden which is very well crafted and the flooring is carpeted. The service is personalized since very few rooms are there in a houseboat. Food is a problem. It is better to take something with you. In night the Dal Lake... More

Excellent place to roam in the evening with your couple. Do take the tour of the dal lake on boat. There are many garden nearby and temples etc for visit. Lot of shops for shopping with good bargain. Do bargain a lot. Lot of non-veg shops for good eating. More

I think this is a more appropriate set of accommodations for the domestic market. Even the so-called super deluxe houseboats do not meet the standards that "deluxe" tourists expect. It is a lovely ride on a boat, it's great to visit the houseboats, but staying there is not a good idea in so many ways. The mattresses were so thin... More

If you ever have the oppotunity or you want something differant, try Kashmir (Indian side). The countryside is absolutely wonderful. We call it Switzerland with heat. There are so many regions and places of interest, from exploring the lakes by boat to walking in the foothills of the Himalayas. It has it all. The people are generally wonderful, except for... More

We went to Shrinagar after going to Amarnath, we got a hotel right beside the Dal Lake and the view was beautiful. The lake is so serence and peaceful I could just sit and watch it the whole day. After a rough and tough four days at Amarnath this was just so relaxing. Shrinagar altogether is a place worth visiting.The... More
