A lot of tour operators do not include this location as the road is not very reliable but the hot water springs at Manikaran are a must visit. The Gurudwara is very huge. There is also a Shiva temple one can visit.the water is so hot that rice actually gets cooked in 1 minute. Also one can get to see rocks turned red... The place is 80kms from Manali and would cost you close to Rs 1000-1300 by personal cab. The Gurudwara is not kept well, half constructed, and you wont be spending more than 30 mins. There is just one good thing, a very good restaurant on the way. Sanjha Jhula which is worth seeing. More

Although the Gurdwara itself was like others..additionally had a hot natural spring, the road to Manikaran was simply fabulous....the different structure of the mountains and the natural beauty is absolutely stunning...I would say a must visit just for the trip to this location. More

The drive from Manali to Manikaran is terrible. In fact, there are patches, where there is no road and one is driving over stones and broken boulders. And unfortunately, the upkeep of Manikaran gurudwara and the area around it, leaves a lot to be desired - it has just not been maintained, and there are piles of rubble and plastic... More

Road is rough, but the journey is still enjoyable for its views. It is worth stopping at Himalayan resort on the way for some snacks (since it is located in a beautiful place). in Manikaran you have only a Gurudwara with Sulphur Spring (water is very hot) More

Several good things about this place: The history and the legends surrounding the place, right from Parvati maa losing her nosering (mani) right up to Guru Nanak ji finding a hot spring in which rotis would float and could be cooked. The hot spring itself: the food served at the langar is to this day cooked by immersing huge utensils... More
