I went there for pick climbing (CB14). I like this place very much because there is too much adventure. I am adventure lover... mostly like pick climbing. May be some time I do kayaking, rock climbing, rappelling, zip line, etc.

Three of us, my 2 years old Son Saswata Dipa, my wife and I ventured out to do a homestay trek in the Spiti region (Himachal Pradesh, India) this October. I was bowled out after looking at a few pictures at Indiamike/tripadvisor/Google. We pre-booked the trek with Ecosphere, an NGO in Spiti. As the journey started from Kye after the... More

We did a twelve day tour, from Kufri to Kalpa and Chitkul and then through Spiti (and Mud) to Manali. It can be highly recommended although I would not say that Spiti is the most beautiful region. There were more beautiful sights than that along the trip. Negative was the extremely bad condition of the roads (in general but in... More

For my 3rd visit to India, I decided to choose a less travelled destination, and chose spiti and Kinnaur. My wife and I hired a jeep from Manali for Rs 2400 per day (we shared it, and the cost, with 4 other people we met in Manali). The Jeep got us all the way to Tabo, visiting Chandratal lake, Losar,... My original plan coming to India was to ride up to Leh. However, given time constraints, I decided to do the Spiti Valley circuit starting in Manali. I had read up a lot on the drive to Leh but I didnt know anything about Spiti Valley, so at first I was a bit worried that it wouldnt live up to... More

This was my first solo trip so I had a lot of inhibitions before I ventured onto this, but once I was there I really felt glad about my decision. The place is just amazing. I planned my trip with the help of Sudhanshu Singh and Tsering Bodh of Incredible Spiti. Starting from Shimla I crossed KInnaur district and then... More

Spiti, which means ‘the middle country’, is the land of ragged and snow capped mountains that reach out to the clear deep blue skies. Here, in the cold desert, trees are scarce and the moonscape expansive. Spiti is the land of several perennial rivers - Spiti, Pin, Chandra - whose gurgling sounds will soothe you in the night and whose... More

Many people are not aware about Kaza & the Spiti valley. Spiti means the middle land & it lies between Tibet & tourists favorite Himachal Pradesh, south-east of Ladakh. Any person who loves driving in the Himalayas should definitely take a trip to Lahaul & Spiti valley. The terrain is harsh, desolate & inhospitable but your final destination makes it... More
