- Gayathri JChennai (Madras), India52 contributionsBreathtaking experience. Do not miss the sound and light show which is done with great precision. And the churma laddoo prasadam is excellent as well. Check out the Baan stambh near the beach. One tip will be to first buy the prasadam and the tickets before you go for darshan because the line gets pretty long after the Mangal Aarati which is at 7 PM before the show. Also do not miss the old temple outside that was built by AhilyaBai Holkar. No mobile and bags allowed, so make arrangement for them while you can.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vinay R4 contributionsTemple is quite ancient and is weathering out slowly. It is almost built with sandstone.
One needs to deposit cellphones, purse, electronic watches etc and are not allowed inside the temple. But this needs to be done with local vendors.
There being lots of devotees and entrance being narrow there is no orderly entry. Female entry is separate and as a family one cannot enter together unfortunately. If one is coming first time he would not know from where his wife would come out!

- Gayathri JChennai (Madras), India52 contributionsWonderful, intricate carving. Don't miss to take a moment to to enjoy the symmetric patterns on the walls. Definitely the place could do with some additional maintenance, but that doesn't make the place any less beautiful!Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Guide2379241485710 contributionsGood place. You should visit it mostly during the evening time since during the daytime sun is too hot and very less shade is present. You should enjoy the water show and the water rides if feasible.Written 2 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Best time to go in evening when you can enjoy sunset also.
We were reach at entry gate at 6 pm and ticket booking office was closed and they have asked us book online.
After a 15minutes of struggle with internet in that area, finally we have booked tickets online and border army has given permission to visit white desert.
So we reached little bit late in evening but we enjoyed lot and wonderful view of Sun set seen.
If you can go early or in morning you can enjoy cart safari in white desert.
Even though, it's beautiful place, If u have not seen white desert in Gujarat then u have not seen anything.

However, my friends really enjoyed it.Written 16 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nidhi PPimpri-Chinchwad, India5 contributionsIt's been months since I've visited this place, but the grandeur of the Darbar hall is something I'm not still over!
I had opted for the MP3 audio guide (the earphones need to be improved) so it was quite easy to navigate. The palace is quite beautiful and a lovely place to explore. I was excited to see the vav (the step-well) but they have taken it off the list, and we can't visit those parts of the ground anymore.
I had a cup of coffee and spent some time journaling at the tiny cafe inside the palace grounds.
I spent 3 hours on the palace grounds before heading to the Fatehsingh museum.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
