It has lots of ancient things and one must go for knowing our past particularly younger generation. Cleanliness in bathrooms I did not like.
Salar Jung Museum has host of articles - carpets, sculptures, swords, etc. Must see the chime clock on ground floor where a soldier comes out of the clock and drums - amazing collections from across the world.
This is a must visit place if you are planning a trip to Hyderabad. The museum houses a collection of gifts and other valuables accumulated by the Nizam Salarjung and his successors. It is a museum,which houses artifacts,paintings,ivory works,coins,weapons,cloths worn by people,utensils used,bronze articles.statues,clocks,works of artisans and innumerable items collected by Salar Jung-1,11 and 111 for not less than 2 centuries,Outstanding among them are the musical clock and veiled Rebecca statue.It is a place not be missed.
One of the big museums I have visited.. they got huge collection... may take full day to see everything
The artefacts are very good and well displayed; however, you need a whole day (and perhaps more) to see all that the museum has to offer

Visitng Salarjung museum is full day event. Make sure to keep at least 3-4 hours, more if you love old stuff. :) Rebecca is amazing. Kids will love the armour and clock section. It had been my dream to visit this museum for many years. Reached there by 12.30 as the crowds were streaming in. Fortunately the museum is big enough to accommodate loads of people.
