Been there twice, when i first arrived ( the bust stop ), and another visit to the actual market. Nice and interesting , plenty of shops, and you may get good bargain. Transportation only 2.5 egyptian pounds by the mini buses, don't use taxis and private lemos, very pricey for no use! public transportation were safe and available all day. More

This is a real Egyptian experiance. if you want to shop where the locals go. And dont stick to the main street. The back streets is where its at. The place does not have history, only merchants and dwellers that live on tourism and anything related to it, which gives you a notion to what to expect. The place is incredibly dirty.
