Enjoyed the walk to Volosko and there was wonderful food. We didn't see the whole town so I can't give a thorough review.
A pretty little village at one end of the Lungo Mare, well worth a visit - small attractive harbour, with cafes and a gelataria. The village is dominated by the twin towers of its church high above the harbour.
We stopped briefly in Opatija. It is a fancy resort town that is basically situated on a strip above the water. The street was VERY crowded with lots of traffic. It really reminded me of Las Vegas. There is a little walking path along the beach, and this was probably my favorite part of the city.
A Pretty little village where you can find nice restaurants for dinner, with "Plavi Podrum" being the best and the most expensive of the rest. It is better though not to use your own car to get there. Finding a parking space in August can be a very difficult task!
It is a pleasant fishig village. Only few members of the community is also dealing with fishing, the most part is involved in tourism. They rent houses and appartaments. The village is quiet, and is near to Opatija, the pearl of Adriatic See. It is good for a family vacation. The beach is good.
We walked from Opatija twice during our stay. We are physically fit and there is no way that Volosco is a 20 minute walk...even if you walk it before the heat of the day. It does have some interesting restaurants though! Definitely recommend Tramerka! But make a booking!! Just up a few steps and off the path, great food, great... More
Lovely fishing harbour and village with steep alleys and old small streets, and which we initially discovered by strolling along the Lungo Mare from Icici. There is a tiny inner harbour within the not large harbour, and most restaurants are set around the former. Good views towards Rijeka and islands of Cres and Krk, and Mount Ucka behind the village.
The offer of the village is great and the village is above average. Scene and the restaurants are just great. People there are helpful and happy and the restaurant owners are great, too. But there is a municipal public parking sherif that is very unpleasant and you may have a ticket for even proper and paid parking. They are looking... More
