As a B&B we hosted a digital photography company, intent to digitize the world's varied and exotic copies of both canonized and aprocryphal books of the Bible. Kelsey has quite a famous and extensive collection.

I went to school at the Univ of Michigan and never visited this first-rate little archeological museum right on State St. -- it took visiting the campus again after several decades to get the gumption up to walk up the steps and in the door. A great and fascinating collection, beautifully and interestingly presented, mostly from U of M archeological...

What a wonderful way to see so many artifacts from so long ago. My son is very interested in ancient Egypt so he was thrilled but the rest of our family loved it just as much!
I didn't know what to expect when I walked into the Kelsey. As you enter the older part of the building you think Indiana Jones is somewhere around the corner, and then you enter the contemporary gallery...WOW! The antiquities are some of the finest I've seen in the US. Barring seeing artifacts in Greece, Italy and Turkey there is a...

This lovely building houses an interesting collection, nicely laid out on 2 floors to allow for leisurely viewing.

Highly...

Myths and Heroes, amphora, urns, iridescent vials, votives, lamps, and cylinder seals. The ancient world awaits your discovery. Open the drawers, find the connection, follow the thread back 5000 years to the banks of the Nile and Euphrates and the Islands of the Aegean. Closes at 4:00pm alllow an hour or two.
I visited Kelsey when Sigmund Freud's collection of antiquities was on exhibit there. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I have not been there recently but I believe there are likely some continuing exhibits that are equally as interesting. It is a small house which, itself, is a bit of blast from the past. It is close to the Michigan Union.

Relatively small, with a focus on the collections from digs where sponsored by the founder/school, this museum had...
