What other town of 115,000 has a stadium that holds 114,000 fans? The University of Michigan's football stadium is the largest in the U.S. and the third largest in the world. Worth a little detour as you are visiting Ann Arbor. The UM's campus is not the most picturesque but the university is world class, with top medical, engineering, law... More

It was one of the most ideal education centre I have ever visited.I had the opportunity to move on the central and the north campus. They were so nice to move around. The planning of the University department buildings, the accomodation for the students, the eating places the libraries etc.are just exemplary. It has a complete study oriented atmosphere. The education system has worked so hard... As far as campuses go, this does not make my top ten but it is still a very pleasant stroll. It is quite large and it quickly becomes clear to the visitor that it has been built up in stages over the years as it sprawls quite a lot. In fact, there is now a north North Campus extension a... More

U of M is a top 25 public university. Great campus in a great town. Ann Arbor has a lot to offer outside of the University, but the U is also a big draw for events. Huge music acts, speakers, and other performances regularly book there.

I just went to a free U of M Symphony Band concert last night at Hill Auditorium, and it was world class. Hill Auditorium is now 100 years old, and after its renovation about a decade ago, it is just gorgeous. Any visitors to the area, I would make it a point of seeing a performance in this spectacular venue.... More

I hope my daughter does not go here to college. The U of M campus is part of downtown AnnArbor. It is too crowded and hard too get around.

There really is no better place in the US to go to college. If you want a school that has the highest academic standards and ratings, great sports, amazing school spirit, a great social scene as well as a fabulous college town with 4-5 star restaurants then go to UMich!

Something for everyone - sports, music, dance, theater, academics, healthcare and of course "the big house". All of this in a small town with great restaurants, hotels and other activities.
