We were unable to get into the church during our schedule. However we were able to visit the cemetery. Interesting view with a nice follow up after Bram's castle.

beautiful church with its walls around it and its gate, its really nice have to visit. its in a short distance walk from biserica beagră. we saw a baptizing there when we visited =]]]
One of the favourite churches chosen by couples for weddings, but a bit small, though. Nearby is the tomb of Nicolae Titulescu - probably the greatest Romanian diplomat of all times.
Another nice church and a good example of its kind. My favorite aspects of the church are its striking spires and the faded, nearly gone frescos around the back of it. The light wasn't great when I was there, but I bet in the spring or summer it's very pretty. Take a little walk around, it's pretty cool.
The Saint Nicolas of Schei Church is situated about 1 km far from the Council Square in Brasov (during the Medieval Times, the Schei Neighbourhood was outside the city walls). The architecture is very nice (the church looks more like a fairy-tale castle) and you should visit inside the yard the First Romanian School.
The church of Saint Nicholas is much smaller than the Black Church (see separate contribution). However, it is also woth a visit. There was a small prayer service going on with some local parishoners and the priest and cantor were singing the prayers. Two of the most beautiful voices I've heard in a church, with a call-and-response between the two. I sat in the back...

nice as it was free to visit. had a very cosy feel about it compared to the usual stark bare feel churches have so I would def suggest putting your head through the doors if you walk close to it.
Like - really good setting and architecture for photography which was the purpose of my visit. Be sure to note the drawings on the left hand wall as you approach the church. Dislike - none
For others than Romanian culture, this monument may not represent much. However, it's worth seeing, with its special architecture, especially if you plan a visit to the First Romanian School, situated in the courtyard of the church. Best would be to visit the area the first weekend after the Orthodox Easter, when a traditional feast and parade are in place,...
