It is not in Sibiu, you may need to drive on the most beautiful road in the country for few hours. Nice wiew, hight altittude on the top of the mountains

Thankfully we had an overnight stay booked at the lake as otherwise we may have been disappointed. The view is wonderful, it's a nice place to stop and go hiking (with appropriate equipment) or simply to admire nature in the mountains (at approximately 2042 m altitude). Take care, it can be pretty cold there, even if the temperature in the rest of the country is high. Sometimes there is snow there in August.

You don't have to be a mountain expert to get here. to road up to the lake is a real pleasure itself. the landscape is surreal and the fresh air is like nowhere else in the world!

This is a special place,beautiful indeed and I highly recommend to go there,in every season. If you want a nice weather you definitly have to go on June-July.

Very nice place to visit, the views are great, the road up to it was amazing, just watch for the rapidly changing weather.

Best time to go visit is in June...there is still snow but you can count on nice weather to enjoy the outdoor views.
