No cars just peace and tranquility. If you want to get around you can hire bikes or if you go look a little deeper you can hire golf buggies to take you around the island. Jaw droppingly gorgeous. Wish I could live on this piece of heaven

We found this island by chance as the ferry line from our island of kolocep went directly to Lopud. Best beaches and atmosphere ever we loved it and would return to stay here next time. With a promenade thats buzzing with little shops bars and restaurants and also chapel's dating back hundreds of years and b&b's there are no cars...

I combined this island with 2 others on the 3 island galleon cruise. Very scenic with a good selection of bars and restaurants and a very old church and a very modern 5 star hotel.
Lopud Island is very small but lovely. We did a Three Island Cruise and this was the 1st Island we stopped at. We sat in a peaceful bar for a nice cold coke before going for a walk around. There isn't a lot of shops but there is a few churches and a monastery. There didn't appear to be any...

Went here as one of three islands to visit on a day boat trip. Loved it! Beautiful with lovely atmosphere! Are planning our next trip to this gorgeous part of Croatia already and will definitely include a stay on this lovely island next time. Can't wait!
We visited Lopud on a 3 island boat trip and we were glad we did. This is truly a beautiful island and it was well worth doing the walk across the hill from the harbour to the other side to see the beach. What an idyllic bay setting and we were really surprised to see that prices in the bar...

Grab a boat, sunglasses, swimming suit, camera, sandles and enjoy. The botanical garden is lovely, peacocks everywhere, cool sitting spots. Wonderful to get away from the crowds in Dubrovnik for a while. There is a great restaurant as well.
Liked the little beach and the promenade with the restaurants and shops. Sat in the little shady park as the weather was so hot. Pity the Franciscan monastery was closed for renovations!
Although you can take in the many three-island tour packages offered nearly everywhere, we were advised to hop the public ferry from Gruz harbour. One island was enough, and there is a good beach a half-hour walk from the ferry dock on Lopud, though the beach sand was pretty grotty with lots of broken glass. We were there in early...

decided to have a night on one of the Elaphite Islands as an excursion from Dubrovnik and it was an excellent decision! we chose Lopud as it had good trip advisor ratings and was car free. it's a beautiful island and the only strange aspect was the presence of a large resort hotel (Lafodia) at one end of the bay,...
