gorgeous views out to sea and over the old town. no shady areas, so take a drink and be prepared to wear flat, comfy shoes/sandals as there are a lot of steps to climb.
A walk around the city walls of the old city Dubrovnik is a must if you can do it. GO EARLY to avoid the coach tours, cruise ship groups etc and of course the heat! Be warned there are many steps up and down.

Fantastic Views, great feat of construction, make sure you have a good footwear for climbing the steps
Even though it's very hot and may takes a bit effort to walk through the whole city wall, it definitely worth the effort. Don't forget to climb up the fort to get the best view of the old town and the sea view.
I loved walking around the walls of Old Town. The views of the town and Lokrum where amazing, you'll end up taking so many photos! Try to go early in the morning to avoid crowds and the heat of mid day as there's not much shelter from the sun. Its quite a long walk so make sure to wear comfy...

There is only one 'entry' allowed, so you can't get 'on and off'. There are some very steep steps - but with handrails. The views are well worth the effort.
The City Walls are walkable with several entry and exit points along the way. There are some bars along the way and the whole area is one way. The ticket price was a bit steep but you'll be the judge of that. Definetly worth the while, though there is a lot of walking involved. Still, a lot of nice views...
