Magnificent architecture, a few years ago entirely restored. Weekly performances of opera as well as ballet, at very fair prices.

A must for any visitor to Odessa. One of the most beautiful opera theaters of the Old world. I went to performance of the opera 'Prince Igor" by Borodin and was very satisfied with traditional interpretation performed by local troop.

The outside and the inside of the theater building is amazing. As I know it has an interesting history. The inside athmosphere is the same like the Paris national theater (and also the National Theater of Szeged). What a grand looking building !! Beautifully restored and worth many photos, I didn`t go inside the building but the exterior is simply stunning, well worth a visit.

This is by far one of the most impressive building I have been in, just stunning, if in Odessa you must go and see, make sure you take your camera. Fanstastic building, try and get a tour inside of the building if you are not lucky to be able to get tickets for an opera or ballet. Note that due to lack of funds there is no orchestra, instead they are using taped music. But go inside and have a look at the building.
