Nice area, nothing to really see, small amount of shopping and restaurants. Wouldn't spent my $$ on a tour JUST to see the area

Beautiful island, two connect on low tide w/ a sandbar. Plenty of flowers around and crystal clear water at the pier about 50' deep and can see the bottom. Shark or two may be visible also.

The ferry is caught on the first Island on the amador causway and cost about $14 return departs at 830 another at 930 on busy days and returns at 430 giving you a one hour trip amongst the ships waiting to transit the canal. Lunch should be taken at the white hotel with orange trim on the hill with a... More

with the exception of the hilarious village near the 'port', the island is a jungle surrounded by heavy surf. it punishes the weak, stupid and unprepared. and don't believe them when they tell you there are no alligators.

attractive place to catch some fresh air and a relax atmosphere. The 2 lane causeway road is gets congested during the typical evening hours after sunny days : plan to have dinner between 5 and 8 pm or return a bit earlier towards the city...

During early June 2011 my wife & I planned to take the ferry to Isla Saboga for the sole purpose of preparing the first review of this Panamanian Pearl Island for tripadvisor. However, today there now exists one tripadvisor review of Isla Saboga submitted by a lscott35142 of Shelby Alabama for a trip taken during March 2011 and submitted on... More

We took the ferry out to Contadora and spent a week there exploring the area. Saboga is the island next door, and is just now being developed. There is a small restaurant on the beach that serves fabulous food, but you'll need to make reservations in advance - just ask for Tony Ayala on Contadora and he will set it... More
