Most of the old museum is hidden and not open to the public. It is just an empty room, chairs set up like in the cinema. Maybe they rent it out for larger gatherings or award shows?

The National Theater makes you feel royal. The architecture, design, welcoming atmosphere and great productions make it a must-visit place when in Belgrade.
Theatre, something that means a lot to somebody. Been there 100093674 times, excellent operas, comedies, but the stuff is not that polite.

Great architecture, good program, in the cener of the city, good location... Since a lot of museums are closed it seems there are only theaters left as a piece of culture in Belgrade.
Whatever you listen (and watch) - you can't mistake :) Special recommend - Donizetti's "L'elisir d'amore" :))
As an opera fan National theatre is the only place one can hear it. Experiencing some of the bards of Serbian opera was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. Recommendation on theatre repertoir that every year offers something new and fresh.
Beautiful architecture, in the heart of city centre, close to Republic Square. Worth a visit!
