Most of the old museum is hidden and not open to the public. It is just an empty room, chairs set up like in the cinema. Maybe they rent it out for larger gatherings or award shows?

The National Theater makes you feel royal. The architecture, design, welcoming atmosphere and great productions make it a must-visit place when in Belgrade.

The whole building looks great from outside, and inside is wonderful too. Very small comparing to average theaters, however, very comfortable. We watched 'Swan Lake' last night, the ticket was cheap (800 din per person) less than $10 for the 2nd row seat. Great architecture, good program, in the cener of the city, good location... Since a lot of museums are closed it seems there are only theaters left as a piece of culture in Belgrade.

As an opera fan National theatre is the only place one can hear it. Experiencing some of the bards of Serbian opera was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. Recommendation on theatre repertoir that every year offers something new and fresh.
