The building are not the best to serve to its purpose... i belive romanian atyheneum it can stand it much better. Acoustic is not excelent as well not the artistic act. If you visited Covent Garden, Scala di Milano , etc you wont get the same touch here. Most of the good artists are playing in western europe and artists... More

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and fantastic place to watch an opera! We got 2nd row seats for Friday opera for 'Rigoletto' the day of the show for only 55 lei per ticket (17 USD). If you are in town have your hotel check if tickets are available and enjoy a show.

We sing a very old song in Bucharest: ‘’Dambovita, apa ducle, cin/te bea nu se mai duce’’ – ‘’ Dambovita, sweet river, which drinks your water, wants to remain here’’! Nearly the course of Dambovita , in the centre of city, the Bucharest National Opera invited us to listen over songs, masterpieces of famous composers . Our Opera is a... More

A nice way to spend an evening with the children. The productions can't compare with those of Milan or New York, but tickets are easy to acquire - meaning you don't need to purchase months in advance- and the best seats are about 20 euro! So, in terms of quality and price this is a wonderful opportunity. I've seen people... More

The exterior of the building is not the best exponent of the gems inside. However, we hope that the Opera House will have the same destinty as the National Theatre, which is currently being renovated. Bear in mind though that the facade hides exquisite performances inside and terrifc artists. We have recently enjoyed Tosca and it was an amazing experience.

the play was really nice and for such price! 25 lei a ticket on Balcony second row. The most expensive was 55 lei. You can buy the ticket directly in the opera. It was a nice experience.

Its very important that a financially stricken country like Romania does not compromise on one of its tourist attractions. as such, the Opera House is quite important. We listened to La Boheme / with a great line of singers. Great night out
