we went up the mountain when the weather was rainy and then it is not great: there are not really assigned walking routes and the forest is quite thick hence it does not really allow for very interesting views.
Great place to run away from nearby city, hike and pick your mushrooms. Hike routes have good markings. Few interesting local attractions wit good bus and cable-way connections. If you have time visit Medvedgrad, old medieval fortification with a great view on Zagreb.
Lovely place can not wait to come there again. The surrounding is really worthy to see, we enjoy the high point there - excellent view from up there - took so many pictures, TD
Sljeme is great for long walks through the forest. During winter season, not big ski resort (4,5km of ski tracks) is open with great „red track“ on which FIS races are held. Try „puricu s mlincima“ in Puntjarka cottage when you visit Sljeme.
In spring and winter on Medvednica Few million city boasts mountain to which can be reached by public transport, about an hour by tram and bus we arrived at the top of this mountain. While in the city was the spring on the mountain was more than 20 inches of snow
One chairlift (for three people) and two bar lifts is not really the kind of skireport you would reccomend but considering that you are 20 minutes from the heart of Zagreb and that they offer night skiing two times a week from 1900 to 2200 hrs then its really a unique chance to spend a few hours of skiing. What...

Great place to be when you want to escape from the hot city of Zagreb. Very popular among Zagrebians especially on the weekends when can get crowded. While during the summer city of Zagreb can be extremely hot and stuffy,in Medvednica is usually far cooler, temperature reaching 15-17 degrees. On the top of the hill food and drinks are available for...

If you’re not planning on skiing or snowboarding here then there really isn’t a lot to do. The bus from Mihaljevac took 30 mins and the scenery on the ascent of the mountain was nice but ended up coming straight back down again on the same bus as I wasn’t here for the sports. Worth doing if you have the...

It is a place where you can go for a lovely and not too demanding walk so you are not left breathless, therefore you can have a nice talk with whomever you are walking. the paths are well marcated and it is a wonderful place to spend the morning or the whole day.
