We visited the new museum in the palace just a few days after its opening. At last it gives visitors an opportunity to see part of the interior of the building which under Soviet times was a health sanatorium. It was left to deteriorate a lot over a long period, so the restoration work must have been difficult.

I have been to the place in nineties, before the current renovation, and it was very nice. The guide told us about parks and buildings. The Radzivils family were very influential in the area, and at their golden age they married one of their women into Medici family. Not sure when the renovation ends, but when it does, this is...

Actually, the palace is closed right now, because of renovation. But probably in summer the work will be finished. The town itself is quite small, but the palace and a park aruond is lovely. The big lake from the one side of the palace, beautiful park from the other- it is so nice to walk there. You can make wonderful...
