It´s a journey in which the traveller will have a full day of unforgettable experiences between the mystical Andean mountains and the most exclusive luxury that a train can offer. The two dining cars, its bar car with observatory, its kitchen car; the welcoming with sparkling wine and its traditional dancing show are only few of the reasons that converted it in everything that it means today. « less

Took the train from Aguas Caliente to Ollyntambo and it was a fun, albeit unique experience. The train was very clean. The staff served us small 'snacks' which were actually quite elaborate h'or doueveres. Further, the staff put on a fashion show down the aisle. Kept things interesting and the views are not bad too! We enjoyed this train to Machu Picchu and back, enjoying the comfort and luxury of this train. Great brunch on the way to Machu Picchu in the morning, punctuated with explanations from a tour guide about the history of the place. Great dinner on the way back, multiple courses, all local specialties, very tasty. Be sure to visit the panoramic... More

This is great scenic train to take before / after going to Mauchu Picchu. However, the ticket prices are rather overpriced for tourist. Now...what you need to do is get a local to buy you a "locals only" car seat for about $2. More

The train ride was smooth and seats were comfortable. Huge windows gave an opportunity to see the wonderful countryside. A good meal was served both on the way to and from Machu Picchu. On the home back from Machu Picchu the staff who served lunch also did a fashion show of beautiful alpaca wraps and coats. It was fun. More
