We took a day trip to Valpo on our recent visit to Santiago. Public transit is quite easy - metro from Provensia to west side of red line, where we caught the bus to Valpo. Cab to Artilleria elevator and at top met Boris and our new cooking companions. We were also joined by a special guest - Boris' mother,... More

We met Boris at 10:30 at the top of Ascensor Artilleria. A short walk from there we reached his cooking studio where we decided what we would be creating in the kitchen that day. Our intrepid group of 5 students and one Boris then made our way down the ascensor, hopped on a local bus, and arrived about 10 minutes... More

Our class and wine tour was everything we had hoped for and much more. Boris was an excellent entertainer, cook, guide...and dancer. We can't wait to get home and try to make some of the items we made with Boris, though I think that the festive ambience will be lost with out him and the view of the water.

What can I say; this class is something different! Besides being an excellent chef, Boris is a true entertainer. Jokes all day, shake/dancing making pisco sours and creating an interactive vibe in the group we had lots of fun during the day. Combine this with some excellent local dished, visit to the market and nice wines you have a perfect... More

My husband was a little hesitant booking a cooking class for an entire day of our 2 days in Valparaiso, but it was probably the highlight of our visit here. We had fun meeting other couples, learning how to cook new dishes, and touring the market. Not only did we have fun cooking but we will be able to share... More

This was a great experience and my wife and I enjoyed every minute!! We are self described foodies and this was not only a fabulous introduction to Chilean food but a great time with real people in Valparaiso. The food and people are authentic, sincere and full of love. Highly recommended!

I found this cooking class on Google, and with the encouragement of great Trip Advisor reviews, booked it for my second and last day in Valparaiso. It was deliciously worth every minute and every penny. Boris is charismatic, knowledgeable, and a wonderful guide into the vibrant world of Chilean cuisine and culture. Touring the produce market, preparing authentic Chilean dishes,... More

I had such a wonderful experience cooking, shopping, shaking and chopping with Boris and I highly recommend this experience to everyone! We had a lovely, intimate party of three students so cooking was very hands on and the dinner company was so fun to meet and talk to. The market tour was informative and it was also a good introduction... More

My friend and I decided to take Boris' cooking class because it came highly recommended by three travelers we had met in South America. The class managed to surpass our already high expectations. The class was intimate, informative, and fun. We started the day with the selection of our menu and then went shopping for ingredients before we started to... More
