Beautiful place to enjoy as you can take a river cruise, bungee jump, walk, or bicycle! And for all you Apple fans, there’s even an Apple Store here. Very popular area, night and day.Visited April 2023Written 8 April 2023
- Lina SJakarta, Indonesia24 contributionsAmazing time at Marina BayIt is an amazing experience in Singapore at Marina Bay. The view is incredible especially at sunset and night. You can walk or jog around the bridge and have a good and variety food choices inside the mall. The river is there since many years ago but never bored to visit and experiences many new things around. Bravo!Visited April 2023Written 12 April 2023
- HazelAjman, United Arab Emirates83 contributionsAmazing viewAlways bring umbrella every time you visit especially during summer. We went there first last July 2017 at the top of Marina Bay for the view of Singapore at Night. Then another visit last September 2022. Its always nice to explore the area with bike.Visited September 2022Travelled with familyWritten 14 April 2023
- Andy FDevizes, United Kingdom1,240 contributionsLots To Look AtThere are lots of iconic buildings to look at, including the quirky Marina Bay Sands complex. Thre's a building shaped like an opening lotus. There's a huge merlion spouting water into the bay. It's surrounded by walkways with bars & restaurants. It's impressive, but it's modern & lacks any warmth or soul.Visited April 2023Written 3 May 2023
- asthecrowsfly2Melbourne, Australia219 contributionsEyecatchingWe visited Marina Bay in May 2023. We took a walk around the perimeter and saw the Merlion. We visited Marina Bay Sands and walked through the shopping areas before heading through to Gardens by the Bay. Marina Bay is quite impressive and relaxing to walk around. Very modern, luxurious and pristine. Definitely a must-see!Visited May 2023Written 14 May 2023

We were fortunate enough to spend five nights at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel so we got to explore the bay every day. Much of the attractions are free: Gardens by the Bay, walk path around the Merlion park, the Helix pedestrian bridge. Overall it is a beautiful area to explore on foot.
Must come during the day time as well as at night. The Spectra light shows are simply magical. So many shops and restaurants, cafes, bars in this area. Perfect for people watching or resting from a long day of exploring.
The city lights make photographing super easy. Time spent here will create lasting memories for the trip!

To really appreciate Marina Bay try a hire bike ride clockwise around the pathways that hug the shoreline. So many sights to take in along the way and very few pedestrians to navigate around. The Marina Sands Bay Hotel, the Singapore Flyer Wheel, spectacular bridges, the National Stadium, Bay East Gardens, the Barrage and of course, Gardens by the Bay. You may also spot otters swimming close to shore and we also encountered a Pangolin Lizard. Then make sure you return in the evening for the Spectra Light Show for a completely different experience, where Merlion Park is a great vantage point if a little crowded.

Exploring the mall is a must. However, be cautious of the pricey shops it houses. The overall decor is quite impressive. Additionally, consider heading up to the hotel’s rooftop for a stunning view.

Probably one of the most spectacular and beautiful bays in the world. With two unusual bridges each side. The Marina Bay Sands Hotel looks spectacular. This area is especially beautiful at night time with all the lights on the skyscrapers. The Spectra show is also held here at 8pm and 9pm

Beautiful but Singapore is very expensive and artificial. The locals, culturally, feel distant and reserved. Many places in the world which offer far more

You can pay and go up to the top to the observation deck. However you can also go the Ca La Vi bar paying an entrance fee The views from the bar are great as you can also see infinity pool. You get free drink with Ca LA Vi bar entrance fee.

Are there fireworks in Singapore?? If so are they nightly at Marina bay or just for the national day on Friday the 9th.??
Being a tourist what and where should we avoid on Friday 9th??
Any ideas on doing something special for a birthday while here??

I believe the fire works was the practice for the national day.
We reserved ce la ve before getting to Singapore and it was great because there was a long line up for everyone else. We were there for 2 days only so we just tried ce la ve at nights and watched the light show on the vertical trees at night. That was every night at 7:45pm and 8:45pm. Good luck!

Hello. I stayed in the Pan Pacific hotel near the bay but it is very large and you may find it better to be in a smaller hotel. I've found hotels in Singapore good.
For sight seeing there are a lot of things to do - gardens, the Sky Park (standing on top of 3 towers in the shape of a boat), China town for cheap gifts and lots of shopping malls. The people are very nice and most speak English. Enjoy.
I would like to try the hop in hop off with river cruise tour. We r 5 of us with 2 infants. I went through the highlights and noticed that pickup service for the tour only available for certain hotels...which hotel will it be plz.
Thank you!

Hi - the question is a little confusing - the Hop On Hop Off Buses operate around Singapore on fixed routes - there are a number of providers at different prices but are valid for 24 hours or more if selected - they visit most of the Singapore attractions -- stopping nearby so you can hop off see what is to be seen and then return to the bus stop and wait for the next one to come by - Google will display several choices - the River Tour is run by a separate company - the boats run from Read Bridge up river to Marina Bay - there a number of Jetty's (stopping points) along the route - you buy your tickets at the booth (SGD25 for Adults SGD20 for children) board the boat - take the trip - about 50 mins - and get off where you got on.

Hi, I am planning a visit with two kids.
What are popular attractions at the bay?
How much time should I reserve to enjoy at the bay?
What time of the day is best?
Do I need to book anything in advance?

You might want to plan a whole day around the area as there are many shopping and eateries surrounding Marina Bay. With two kids, you could start in late morning by taking a Mass Transit Train or bus to Marina Bay sands. Start at the hotel or convention centre, walk around there in air-cond comfort if you like. then walk through the hotel to Garden By The Bay. There are two indoor domes there but if you want to save the entrance fees, the outside gardens is huge enough to walk through. Bring your kids to the Childrens' garden and let them play and get wet to their content. Then walk a little further south to the Marina Barrage and you could fly kites and have a little picnic overlooking the sea front.
Walk back to MBS and to the Helix Bridge by evening to see the stunning lights surrounding the Bay, The Flyer, etc... From there you could walk to the Merlion esplanade and thereafter to more shopping areas. there are eateries around that you may be spoilt for choices. Bring bring umbrellas or cap along in case of raining or too sunny.

WE stop in Singapore for 1 or 2 nights en route to Sydney and would like to see the Light Show at Marina Bay. Can we get a bus or metro from Changi
Village (our hotel location) and do we have to pay an entrance fee for Sands Park, or can we just see the show for free? Any info. would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply, yes you can take the bus from Changi village to Marina Bay, you can also change to MRT along the bus route to get to Marina Bay. The light show is Free. But the SkyPark need to pay . About 25 - 30 sing dollars.
