A short film about how Singapore got its name was shown prior to entering the main chamber at the foot of the Merlion. Souvenir dollar coins are given to each guest. You have to choose one area to insert the coin and a stub will be given to you wherein you can claim a souvenir at the gift shop. After... More

I love the Merlion, both this one and the one in Singapore. I love how it lights up in the evening, a real symbol of Singapore.

An icon of Singapore but there is really nothing much to this Tower as the mythical creature of the sea with half lion head and a body of a fish. At night, the eyes would shot out laser lights.

Sit back for a bit of history .......The Merlion is the official guardian and protector of the city of Singapore. The Merlion features the head of a lion and the body of a fish is a symbol that represents both strength, and Singapore's strong relationship with the sea. While there is more than one Merlion in Singapore, the one located... More

The tower has no attraction except the view from the top. The film about singapore is a little interesting. Thats where i got to know that it was called singhapur! Main is the shop inside which they promote. I would suggest dont waste your money.

It costs $8 per adult to enter the Merlion and viewing platforms. This includes a walk through an information area and a short video. The video was ok but quite childish. Kids would love it. Afterwards you got to put your lucky coin (provided) into a lion's mouth and a card comes out saying you get a free gift. (sentosa... More

We came across the Merlion on Sentosa and decided to go up. It's no too expensive, which is a first in Singapore, and the view is great, but that's about it. It really is go up, look around and come back down. You don't need too long to do it and it is worth doing but it's not fantastic

We went up for a look and glad it was only $8 as it wasn't worth anything more than that. Nice to learn a bit of history about the Merlion, but really only a short visit.

It has great views but it has been overwhelmed now by all the buildings around it and probably needs to be much larger
