The church is clean and well lit. Even someone like me who is not of Roman Catholic faith, enjoyed the interiors. However, there is not much to see. But hey, a little something to hear (like its history) would have been nice to come from the tour guide.

The cathedral is near the public market. The facade is very solemn especially at dusk when the tree in front casts its shadow at the church walls. Its feels so sacred. There is a Grotto of the Virgin Mary at the side entrance where you can light candles for your personal intentions. Buy candles at the street in front.

We just came from our station of the cross at Mount Calvary and dropped by Baker s Hill. Being a catholic and since it was Holy Thursday, we decided to hear mass at this Cathedral. It was a very humid afternoon and the ventilation was not very apt for the multitude of faithful hearing mass.

Looks good on the outside, and in photos. But the Church is in somewhat of a sorry state indoors. If PP local government and Church willed it, it could turn this into a better looking tourist stop, much like the Baclayon church in Bohol. Hope more work could be done together. More trees outside. I guess the only thing special about it is that it some of the wood carvings inside are made by the Iwahig inmates. There are plenty of better churches in the Philippines.

I went here on a Wednesday morning (But I forgot the exact date), the church is something different from ours (Pagadian City), it is huge and there are locals outside where in you could ask someone to take your pictures while posing outside.

Come'on what is interesting in a badly maintained concrete building not displaying any of the old building features? Spanish were certainly great masters in architecture of churches which should not be copied into a concrete building. The wood inside is detonating with it all making it even worse to look at.
