Day or night, Beijing's cool Lotus Lane is buzzing. A string of cafes, bars, restaurants and funky shops along a canal, it's got atmosphere and al fresco, cool and cocktails. This really surprised me about Beijing.
My favourite bar in the strip was the Buffalo Club, a three level, intimate, retro French place with great live jazz and a down-to-earth...

After 4 days in Beijing on the lamest tour ever, my husband and I grabbed a cab looking for some cool bars. We asked our taxi driver to go to some bar we looked up on our guidebook, but I think he took the liberty of dropping us off at Lotus Lane instead. This place is awesome. It's a lake...
