Since we arrived early in the morning, the crowds were minimal. When we returned from walking/climbing to Tower 21, it was an overflowing parking lot with people everywhere. Disliked the street vendors to and from the starting point. Beware of being told "just 1 dollar". More

It's a good drive from Beijing but you'll struggle to find a more awe-inspiring experience than climbing the wall at Mutianyu. More

nice views, but crowded. If you want to buy something at one of the souvenir shops, make sure to negotiate on price (start with about 10% of the announced price, in many cases you get it) More

Very well preserved section of the wall. Chairlift up and tobogan/luge down, or cable car both ways. There are 23 guard posts on this section, I only managed to finish 14, very long walk. Some steep stairs along the way but not too difficult. approx 1.5 hour drive from town, loal tourists mostly opted Badaling section, so this section is... More

I loved visiting the Wall and had been looking forward to it for years. We were fortunate to have a beautiful day, and the views were terrific. It is fairly strenuous walking since you need to go up and down stairways and we had to ride a cable car up, but thoroughly enjoyed the Tobaggan when leaving. More

We went to this section of the wall because most reviews said it was the best! It snowed two days before so there were not many visitors. We had more than enough time (about three hours) to walk this section. My wife walked a very slow pace and covered about a quarter of the wall... I did it all and... More
