Everything from the booking with Rolf to the route to the local guides was perfect. Before you go, make sure you know what you are getting into - it will be HOT and humid! My advice to those booking half day tours is to opt for the 8am slot - you may need to wake up early, but you'll beat... More

A group of 4 of us did the 3 coastal trails tour and it was excellent! From seeing the village children, to the spectacular views and great tour guides it was a rewarding experience. The tour was hot and physically demanding but well worth it. I recommend to wear runners as we were all in flip flops or sandals which... More

The whole experience from booking with Rolf, to the personal service of the wonderful guide Benson was flawless, and they are experts at making you feel at home and comfortable. The bikes are mountain bikes and have clearly seen some miles, but they do the job. It is definitely mountain biking, as you pedal through some rocky trails and through... More

The half-day, Three Coastal Areas circle tour was the best Christmas present my husband and I could have had as we cycled through a huge diversity of scenery,  markets stalls, small mud villages, red dirt hills, posh homes, maize fields, above a large river, on a dried creek bed, up and down hills, through forest, passing cows, goats, camels, monkeys... One of my very best experiences in the third world - and I (63) had quite a lot of them...! The trip was super: only 100 m along the main road and then always on small paths through nature and villages! What a super (and ecologically friendly!) contrast to the all-inclusive-consuming-temples along the beach!! The guide adapted the speed perfectly... More

I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a great experience. Really got to see the villages and people in their everyday life. The visit to the quarry was amazing and really gives you an appreciation of how hard people work to earn a living. Would never have been able to experience this side of Kenya if we sat... More

Though this bike trip was fun, it was not at all as advertised. We were looking to do an easier morning ride (the costal path said 40k but was rated a 1 out of 4 leading you to believe that it easy) it was not. The ride was mostly through sand, along dirt paths and was very difficult. The short... More

We had booked our tour beofre we had arrived in Kenya and Rolf had been very easy to communicate with and the process was simple. The tour was brilliant, our guides (Benson & Anderson) were great and far better at cycling than me! The route is fantastic as it allows you to see far more than you would from a... More

Having seen the wildlife on a safari this is the ideal way to see the way people live in rural Kenya. Yes you are only a short distance from the city of Mombasa but the rides take you through some wonderful rural villages with pleasant and interesting scenery. No showcase Masai settlement in sight! The bikes are good quality. I... More
