cheap to get in- and really lovely. Empty while we were there- I recommend going between visits to El Luxor Temple and Karnak- don't see it after Dendera or you may feel a bit of disapointment, but really worth a visit.

Each place / temple is breathtaking- to think how long ago they were built and still some of the colours and drawings are just unbelievable! The sun disc over the entrance! Not many visitors when we were there so had the 'guard' to show us aound! love this place
This felt like discovering a secret - a perfect (almost complete) small temple empty of tourists, set apart from the main sites but with the same dramatic rocky backdrop. Charming small village cafes outside. Easy to imagine the past. Painted columns, a wonderful vulture with sun disc over the entrance, huge and energetic relief sculptures. Not surprisingly it was the...

this was one of my favorite stops in Luxor for its small size (relative) and the ruins of the Roman Fortress that lye directly behind it and you think uhhh the Egyptians built their temple... I dont know a thousand or more years before the Romans and its still standing tall. Just makes you stop and think about how small...

Not a soul there! Our favorite temple by far. The heiroglyphics were amazing. Small enough to really enjoy.
Since no one was there, the "guard" followed us around (for a tip, of course), but he had good English, very friendly and not pushy, explained quite a lot and took some photos for us so we didn't mind tipping. Well worth...

Spent an afternoon exploring the Temple and enjoyed seeing the scope of the ruins, with extensive heiroglyphics. Definitely worth looking out for if you happen to be in Luxor. Friendly local guides, who are informative, but will expect you to give them a tip (baksheesh) in return. Took lots of photographs as mementoes of our trip and could not believe...

We thought this was as good if not better than the temples on the East bank and less visitors - we practically had the place to ourselves and was very atmospheric approaching sunset. We were surprised how large it was. You probably need an hour to do it justice. Would thoroughly recommend it.
This temple feels more in tact, far more colourful and with far clearer engravings than Luxor or Karnack Temple - it was also far emptier. Some of it loks as though it could do with clean up, in terms of dirt on the walls - not the floors. Still the colours and art work are impressive.
This is a very well preserved temple and not so well visited so its very quiet. The quality and scale of some of the hieroglyphs is incredible. This is where we saw the most colourful hieroglyphs in any of the temples, only surpassed by the underground tombs protected from harsh sunlight.
Good visit, especially if you have a private guide. Toilets no so good and will be hassled for a few Egyptian pounds (10p per pound) for using them.
