Take a feluca ride over to the Island and spend 1-2 hours exploring the Island. In conjunction with the feluca sailing experience it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. More

This really was a wonderful treat. All of the flowers in bloom and trees everywhere were awesome. It was lush and green, a stark contrast to the desert on the other side of the Nile. There were a couple of shops in the garden to buy a drink or snacks and sit to relax. There were several families there having... More

This is a typical botanical garden. What makes it unique is that it is on an island in the river Nile. We took a Felluca (sail boat) to get to it which was the best part of the activity. The garden is a nice calming place as long as you can get the vendors away from you. Sit on a... More

It was lovely to see so much greenery in one place and there is a huge variety of different trees and plants from all over the world. We just wanted a quiet peaceful walk to take in the beauty of the trees and didn't like the fact that we were followed and interrupted several times by Egyptian men wanting to... More

I read so much about it, but was bitterly disappointed. Yes, there are many trees, but not many flowers and lack of features. On the plus side, there were many school children trying to strike up a conversation in English. It was fun and they were very friendly. Overall, it was a waste of time which could have been spent...
