We really enjoyed our day at the zoo. There was plenty to see. Be prepared to walk! (and bring water). We drove there, there is free parking. My favourite was probably the penguins. A great attraction for kids and grown ups!

Hi everyone,
We had this wonderful trip to the zoo and thoroughly enjoyed it... It is a complete family visit with a number of activities for the little ones. Reached using bus 26A from the Mt Hertzl bus station as we had come to Yad Vashem via the light rail.

This is not as big as the bronx zoo, but it's a great place to go out with the whole family. The landscaping of the zoo, and the river the runs through it makes it a great place to just walk around.

I love going there, my daughter loves going...

If you have been to a zoo before and are visiting Israel for a short time, not worth the trip. Few animals and not very exciting. For local Israeli who may have not seen wild animals is good, but does not come close to a western type zoo.
lovely environment - great animals to visit, - wonderful for children to manage by foot or by stroller -
This zoo packed with many animals.. it's easy and nice to walk around..take at least three hours to visit with children.
I took my cousins kids there as a treat and enjoyed it as much as they did. It's a zoo much like many others but really clean, in a valley with a gorgeous view of the hills around, the animals seemed really well cared for and the couple of keepers I spoke to seemed to be doing for love more...

Great for the family - we took our 19 month old grandson and he just loved it. We liked the fact that there was no pressure to rush around. We followed the map and saw absolutely everything. The wee coffee shop served excellent coffee and the gift shop had toys and other things that were affordable. Highly recommend this place...
