The grotto is shown off to its best and access is very easy. It is amazing to know that there was a rail link through there during WW2. The views are also spectacular. More

Before visiting Rosh Haniqra try to contact the site, call the attraction people and inform yourself about the sea level. If the waves are too big, the visit doesn't worth it. More

The limestone caves of Rosh ha Nikra are right on the northern border of Israel. There is a beautiful untouched beach to view as you arrive. You then take a cable car down to the limestone caves. One wanders through the caves, listening to the crashing waves and watching the waves flow through the crevices. You then follow the path... More

Short cable car ride down to the water's edge where you enter the caves to view how the sea has carved out grottoes. Fruit bats apparently live there but if so, they are hard to see although you can hear the 'chirping' if you listen carefully over the sound of the water crashing against the rock. View a short film... More

We went to Rosh ha-Niqra from Haifa in August 2011 taking public transport. As we don't have our own vehicle we were somewhat worried about the comfort of our journey, but after the day out we felt ourselves satisfied using the local transport. We took bus No: 271 (Egged, very frequent service) from Merkazit ha-Mifrats CBS to Nahariya CBS. From... More

thank you Chana for your travel advice; my friend drove me to the train station; then an easy 45 minutes ride to Nahariya; from there about a 20 minute cab ride to the site; the place is beautiful and easy to get around; the day I went, the place was jammed with camp children, but even that didn't reduce the...
