Although this area is great for being near the sites, I would not opt to stay here again. Too many people trying to get your attention, your money and at unfair rates. Not anything like the rest of Turkey, with rude people who pester you and everything ridiculously overprices. Great to visit for the sites, but not to stay.

We stayed at Ferman hotel in the district. It was a pleasure to walk through the cobbled stone lanes and roads. To think these were the same routes used centuries before made it even special.

It's loud, crowded, and alive! Be prepared to be enticed to buy anything and everything, but it's a feast for the eyes, the ears, and the nose. Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, Blue Mosque, any street - it's all a wonderful experience.

This Bazaar is tiny by has all the same stuff as the Grand Bazaar.
