This was my favorite part of my vacation and I'd recommend that anyone visiting not leave without taking a cruise. I took the short boat ride because I was pressed for time but on my next trip I'll take a full day tour.

If you like river trips this is as good as to gets. Spend a couple of hours getting a different perspective seeing many of the sights from the water right between Europe and Asia.
This was simply one of the highlights of my stay at Istanbul. Take the Bosphorus Tour by boat to see this gorgeous city and view their many landmarks by boat. The tour should take about one and a half hours or so.
went on a one and half hour round trip it had commentary but this was hard to hear. however there was refreshments available on the boat and it was very pleasant to see the sights from the water.
We took the Turyol ferry on the left side of the Galata Bridge. The ferry departures every 30min, the tour lasted 1h30 for 9TL. The tour also includes comments of the attractions in english but unfortunately the audio system didn't work very well. In any case, the views are amazing and you get to see other sides of the city,...

I went on the Bosphorous ferry tour (£10, 2 hr 15, leaves 3 x day outside Aga Sophia). Very good way to see Istanbul, Anatolia and the golden horn on the deck of a ship. Highly recommended
Its beauty is accessible to everybody to enjoy sitting on one of the numerous benches along side it.. The water changes colors several times a day and is peaceful to just sit, "breath", listen.. and watch the boats, the birds, the sea and the sky, as well as the people strolling alongside...
Also don't miss cruising the Bosphorus , it's a great way to see the sights and castles on the side of the waters ... It's just 12TL for almost a 2 hour trip ... Enjoyable
on our previous trip we tried the uskudar ferry which was not touristic but interesting.this time we found a phosphorus tour at eminunu for one hour 10 tl and was very nice specially it was the best place to pass the evening gap between checking out our hotel room at noon and taking our flight at night
We took the ferry up the Bosphorus to the Black Sea. The ferry stopped at several ports on the way, on both the European side and the Asian side. We spent about 3 hours in an Asian fishing village for lunch, but we climbed to the old tower first and were glad we did! It's a tough climb and many...
