This a must do tour. It is well put together tour that allows for individual exploration of the site-the audio portion was well put together. But the over-all experience was a sobering reminder that the sick mind a few can cause so much horror to many.

Very sad but good history lesson. Can be scary for more sensitive people. Save half day for this tour.

I initially found the site itself to be very peaceful but the brutality and extent of lost lives soon became very apparent. Viewing the mass graves, the killing tree, and the pagoda full of victims skulls was very sobering and I certainly questioned in my mind how human beings can do this to one another. The experience definitely has remained... More

A terrible but an essential must see side of phnom penh. The audio tour experience is incredible and horrible at the same time. Imagining what happened back then will break your heart, but i still believe it's essential for every person to get to know this part of history to stop it if it ever happens in the future, sick... Visit the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek in Phnom Pehn brings feelings of sadness, anger and at the same time makes us reflect on how far can reach the sick mind of a deceptive human being.. Genelal Pol Pot, army commander of the Khmer Rouge, which took over Cambodia from 1975 to 1979, shortly after the end of the Civil... More

A must see when travelling through Phom Phen, if only to learn about the horrors of the genocide, to understand where the country has come from and stop it happening again.

Unbelievable artefacts an historical material littered throughout the site. Very sombre, people were observing silence as requested before you enter. Not the easiest thing to rate based on the horrific things that happened here, but if you are visiting Cambodia you really do owe it to yourselves to visit and donate to keep the site running.

Choeung Ek is a series of exhumed mass graves, with a stupa at its center filled with the skulls of hundreds of men, women and children. The purpose of this site is to teach people about the past horror so it is not repeated. The ticket is US$5 / pax.

This is one of the most disturbing emotional amazing places I've been to on my trip. I was not educated on the history of the killing fields or pol pot so this was a really educational trip. It is a bit far out of the city a tuck tuck can bring you on a return trip for about 10dollars. The... More
