The Hanoi Opera House, located in the central of Ha Noi, is built by the French colonial administration between 1901 and 1911. Going there, I found it reflects the great picture of Vietnam. Also the performance there is very traditional and amazing which has been bringing me much impression on Ha Noi.

I visited the Opera House for a ballet show while in Hanoi for business. The venue was beautiful and clean. The show was excellent and I loved the traditional elements of the show.

Incredible musicians and a great picture of Vietnam. I was glad we went the very first night we were in Vietnam! And only $18 per ticket!

Beautiful building, but such a shame people aren't allowed in to see the inside. One can of course book tickets for a performance, but that isn't an option for those squeezed for time or cash. The employees on the door were very unhelpful too, seeming to find it hilarious that someone might want to look round...

Small version of opera house in paris. compared to that , this is just like a model only. However, the plus point is that the opera house in Hanoi was refurbished and maintain very nice from the outside. But the interior inside is not well kept and this smells funny. The singing stage is way to small. If goes there... More

The building is a reminder of the French occupation of Indochina, a touch of French architecture in the centre of an Asian city

Too bad we came at a time when there were no operas but I would recommend you see one here! Great location, and I would assume acoustics in here would be fabulous

Well, I don't know how to describe this place. A European style building as many at Hanoi city. But I think better in Ho Chi Minh City than Hanoi. But you must visit this place
